This year, presentations will take place at several locations. You can enjoy special stories, films, and presentations at both the Wim de Bruijn Theater in De Kampanje and in the nave of City Hall in Building 66 (this location is free of charge). Friday, November 7
The program for this day is being developed in close collaboration with the BBZ. Presentations are open to all visitors. The focus will be on preparing for and dealing with extreme weather phenomena at sea and their relevance to sailing with heritage. There will also be a lecture on weather forecasting resources and their implications for voyage preparations. A (closed) general meeting of the BBZ members will be held at 16:00.

Saturday, November 8
This day features a varied program including a film about sustainability and maritime heritage, and the film “Spankracht” (Strength). Other topics related to safety include Paul van Ommen (BBZ) and Rolf van der Mark (LVBHB), who will discuss how the BBZ’s safety initiatives can be applied to all maritime heritage. There will also be a refreshing presentation on the restoration and occupation of maritime heritage by young people, and the preservation of maritime crafts. And on top of it all the presentation of the “Wouter van Dusseldorp Incentive Award for Positive News”.

The program for this day is being developed in close collaboration with the Enkhuizen Maritime Academy. The (English-language) presentations are open to all visitors. This year’s theme: “Sustainability under Sail.” This year’s theme focuses on sustainability, including sustainable cargo shipping under sail, technological developments for sustainable navigation, climate-neutral ocean crossings, and more.
